I own a few rifles made by Chris, they are great looking, and good shooters. I always know where I can find a good AK47.
I've also shot one of his custom bolt actions, what a thrill. The longest shot I've ever taken, shooting at a truck rim about 1/2 mile away on his ranch near Flagstaff.
Would like to purchase or have more details how I can buy or make my own bolt hold open like I saw on the Google video. The video was a bit grainy so I could not get a clear picture as to the exact location on the safety lever to cut.
My rifle is a MAK-91 in 7.62x39mm made by Norinco
very bad experiences dealing with Mr Horn. I recently had sent him my romanian romak 3 dragunov because it was not feeding properly and I wanted the scope dialed in. I recieved the gun back with the barrel stuck out of the poor box job then when I went to try my gun out I found out that he did not repair it and did not sight in my scope. I contacted chriss and he screamed profanity at me and hung up. Note I had previously bought 2 recievers from him, an ak parts kit, also recomended him to my friend who bought a custom ak. Please consider buying from someone else
Great job Chris, had the kit shipped to me via a co-worker and have put over 5000 rounds thru it without stoppage and has held the original zero to the T. Use it to train friends on their way to the box and have another co-worker whos rifle you are working on as I speak (B.M)

I purchased one of Chris Hornes AK type pistols recently. After initialy having (I'm sure, quite rare) problems with it, I contacted Chris and sent the weapon back with assurance from him that it would be taken care of. He did'nt just take care of the problem, he replaced the weapon with a new one with some nice upgrades.

Yea I am still here not much longer I have 5 years to retire from this place, tham moving to the mountains to sit on my frot pourch and wonder if I am going to hunt fish or just drink my moonshine. I sent chris a ak-47 kit and had him build a gun,four weeks later he was done. When I got my gun it looked super!!!!.The best finish I've seen on a build gun, glad i sent it to him. Thanks chris for a great gun. rich

Contacted Chris several months ago about a Yugo AK-47 build for a wood stock kit. He recieved the kit and I decided I wanted an Yugo underfolder instead. He said no problem, he had a kit, made a fair swap for my kit. I was worried about the barrel because the Yugo's are not chrome lined and some are roasted. Recieved the rifle several weeks later and was very pleased. He had also honored my specific requests as to how I wanted the rifle built.The barrel he used was many times better than the one I sent him. The gun is accurate, nicely built-finished and performs flawlessly whether its 80 degrees or 40 below. We'll worth the money and at a competive price with pre-built AK-47's on the market. I like this AK very much and carry it alot where I need quick bear protection especially in my boat. Brian-Delta Junction, Alaska

Spent less than 24 hrs in Phoenix just to see the gun show and flown back to Alaska...was worth it tho! Thank you Chris and Kim with my new customized AK 47...love it. My friends thought its a good looking piece and dreaming to own one. Perhaps, coming next trip with buddies.
just wondered chris if you can build a rifelman style lever for my 1894 marlin? the factory lever is too small for my hand. if so what is the cost? im working in flag again i can bring it by if you need to look at it maybe ill buy another barrel for the oncore?hows your road holding up? remember me now?
I recently had considerable amount of work done on my AKM47 variant. Replacing a barrel and reblueing ect. With no exaggeration, honestly, I was hitting targets six inches round consistantly at 275yrds and 300yrds with iron sights first time out. The workmanship was impeccaple.
