Looking at the two side by side it's easy to see how similar they are to each other

Two very well made AK47 varieties But the folding stock, pistol grip and bayonet make the 84S-1 the hands down favorite (until the BWK-92 is converted using US parts)

Sights look about the same. The receiver markings and import stamp locations are the easiest way to tell these two AK47s apart. The 84S-1 is made in China by Norinco and imported by CSI of L.A. (Los Angeles) CA. The trunnion s stamped with a 66 inside of a triangle

The BWK-92 is marked with; BK-92 Sporter 5.56x45 in front and in back it reads; KSI (King Sports Inc) Pomona CA Made in China by Norinco. No markings on the trunnion

The handguards and barrels are about the same on these two, but of course the 84S-1 has a bayonet lug

The Norinco 84S-1 bayonet with the elusive metal belt clip that is difficult to find with loose bayonets for sale

While the sheath can be carried while attached to the rifle, it's not recommended to shoot with it on the bayonet. The blade alone is fine, but the escaping gasses really dirty and sometimes break the sheaths
